Robert L. Blessey is Of Counsel to the Firm, where he has served in such capacity since 1990.

Prior to joining the Firm as Of Counsel, Robert was the founder, and named partner in Doros & Blessey, P.C., a New York based law firm formed in 1975, where he practiced law in a variety of corporate and commercial areas for approximately 15 years.

Robert is a corporate lawyer with extensive experience and expertise in representing clients in a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, private placements, public offerings, foreign investments, corporate and shareholder partnership matters, shareholder and partnership agreements and a variety of investment banking as well as other corporate finance related matters.  In addition to representing clients in corporate matters, Robert represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial matters involving the structuring, negotiation and preparation of a wide range of agreements.

Robert also has extensive experience in representing clients in a variety of international commercial matters, including transactions in Europe, Africa, China and Russia.

Robert has served as General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors of various private and public companies during his 40 years of practicing law.

Robert is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States Court of International Trade.

Represented a publicly owned corporation in connection with the sale of one of its subsidiaries for a purchase price in excess of $45 million.

Represented a publicly owned corporation in connection with a $7.5 million private placement of its securities.

Represented the sole shareholder of a medical diagnostic imaging business with multiple diagnostic imaging centers in numerous states in connection with the sale of that business to a third party buyer.

Represented the sole shareholder of a foreign bank in connection with the sale of that bank for $16 million to a foreign bank purchaser.

Represented the sole shareholder of a satellite telecommunications business in connection with the merger of that business into a publicly held corporation.

Founder of, officer, director and shareholder of a privately held corporation engaged in the greenhouse gas abatement business and represented such corporation in various private placements, complex financing transactions and joint venture agreements.

Represented the sole shareholder of a foreign corporation in the sale of certain intellectual property to a foreign purchaser for $30 million.

Represented a merchant bank in connection with numerous complex investment and financing transactions involving an aggregate of more than $100 million.

Represented the principal shareholders of a technology company in a $20 million buyout of their equity interests and executive employment agreements.

Represented the Chief Executive Officer of a publicly owned environmental technology company in a several million dollar buyout of his executive employment agreement and equity interest.

Represented a medical diagnostic imaging company in connection with a complex multi-million debt restructuring transaction.

Represented a public company in negotiating a multi-year exclusive technology supply agreement with a foreign govenment.

Represented a foreign investor in a multi-million dollar purchase of United States settlement agreements pertaining to sexual harassment lawsuits.

Represented a private manufacturing company in negotiating a complex multi-year supply agreement with a major pharmaceutical company.

Represented a controlling shareholder in a public company in negotiating a $10 million secured loan from a foreign financing institution involving a pledge of shares of the publicly owned company.

Represented the shareholders of an entity which was the tenth largest owner of United States shopping centers in connection with a multi-million dollar debt restructuring and Federal court approved complex settlement agreement with several thousand limited partners.
